| I've been eyeing a bike too, and asked a rep at the bike show last month to explain a difference of $5k on a $11k bike. According to him, Canadian dealers simply don't get the same prices from the manufacturer as US dealers. I'm sure that's BS. I ended up getting the bike used, and still paid more than a similar US model. As for cars, they make the import rules so unclear and complicated that you end up paying the extra money locally to save yourself the hassle. The Man always wins.
